Belkyra™

You are an excellent candidate for Belkyra™ treatment if you have a mild to moderate neck fullness, minimal excess skin in the area to be treated, and your skin elasticity is good.

Unfortunately not all people are candidates for Belkyra™ treatment. If you have an infection in the treatment area, difficulty swallowing, bleeding problems or severe laxity or sagging skin, other treatments should be considered. Also, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not consider Belkyra™, because it is still unknown how the treatment may affect your unborn baby.

The treatment consists in a series of injections under your skin, it is typically well tolerated by our patients. However, we apply a small amount of anesthetic so you feel comfortable during the process. You might feel a stinging or pinching sensation at the beginning, but it will disappear soon. 

Belkyra™ gradually improves the appearance of your chin profile, and patients notice visible  results after two to four treatments that are 6 to 8 weeks aparts. However, people with triple or quadruple chin, usually require more treatments because Belkyra™ can only break up a certain number of cells per session.Our specialist will make sure to evaluate your case and recommend the appropriate number of treatments for successful results. Once we achieve the desired outcome, no additional treatments will be necessary due to the long-lasting effects of Belkyra™. 

After your treatment you can expect significant temporary swelling, bruising, redness, numbness, tingling or itchiness, and hardness at the site of the procedure. All these side effects should last about a week, and they mean that Belkyra™ treatment is working and the fat cells have been destroyed. You can return to normal activities as soon as treatment is done. However, we recommend that our patients wait a couple of days before to resume any vigorous exercise.
